Comparisons
How we compare, with the sources
Every figure about another product is quoted from that company's own documentation, linked, and dated so you can see how fresh it is. There are no accuracy charts here: we have not run documents through their services, so we do not claim to know.
VisionParse vs Tesseract
The engine we run ourselves as the default. If you are willing to host and tune it, it costs nothing and never sends a document anywhere.
Cloud APIVisionParse vs AWS Textract
A mature document API from AWS. Cheaper per page than us for plain text at any paid volume — the gap is widest at LOW volume, where our fixed monthly fee dominates. A different proposition once you want named fields, arithmetic checks and a dashboard.
Cloud APIVisionParse vs Google Document AI
Google’s document platform, and the strongest offer here on free usage, languages and per-page text. Their data handling matches ours. Where we win is narrow and volume-dependent — above roughly 190 documents a month, and on documents longer than ten pages.
5 more are written but not published: Azure AI Document Intelligence, ABBYY, Adobe, Nanonets, Rossum. A comparison goes live when every figure on it has been read from the vendor's own documentation and dated — not when the page is built. Publishing a price we half-remember would make the whole set worthless.
