What we set

We use the minimum necessary. There is no advertising cookie, no cross-site tracker, and no third-party marketing pixel on this site. Only the analytics identifier below is ever optional; everything else is what makes the service work.

• Signed-in state is kept in your browser’s own storage by Firebase Authentication, and never read by any other site.
• A visitor identifier cookie on the free tools, kept for up to 400 days, used only to apply the published free-tool limits fairly — without it, everyone behind one office network would share one allowance.
• A Google reCAPTCHA cookie, set by the bot protection that guards sign-in, sign-up and the contact form. It lasts about six months, is used to tell a person from a script, and is never used to advertise to you.

Analytics

We use two analytics tools. Vercel Analytics is cookieless by design and stores nothing in your browser. Google Analytics can store a small identifier that lets us tell one visit from another, and it starts switched off for everyone.

Whether you are asked about it depends on where you are, because that is what the law turns on. In the EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland a bar appears and nothing is stored unless you choose to allow it. Elsewhere the identifier is enabled without a bar, which those rules permit. Either way, advertising storage stays off permanently — none of this feeds an advertising profile, and your documents are never part of it.

You can change your mind at any time using the "Cookie choices" link at the bottom of any page. Withdrawing has to be as easy as agreeing.

Managing what is stored

Your browser can clear or block everything described here through its normal settings. Clearing it signs you out and resets your free-tool identity; nothing on this site breaks in a way that punishes you for doing it.
