Where Google Document AI is the better choice

  • 1,000 pages a month free, every month, per account — ten times our free allowance and not a trial that expires.
  • More than 200 languages for text against our 161.
  • $1.50 per 1,000 pages for text against our $9.50 — and our $9.50 assumes you use the whole 2,000-page allowance. At 500 pages a month ours is effectively $38 per 1,000.
  • Documents in online requests are never written to disk at all; ours are stored and deleted within the hour.
  • Custom processors you can train on your own documents; we offer fixed schemas only.
  • Google Cloud scale and compliance programmes we cannot match.

Where we are

  • One credit covers a document up to 25 pages. Google’s $0.10 covers ten, so a 25-page invoice costs $0.30 there against one credit here.
  • Cheaper per document above roughly 190 a month: our credits work out at $0.040–$0.059 depending on plan, against a flat $0.10.
  • One price instead of a separate rate for every processor — text, form parsing, custom extraction, layout and splitting are each billed differently.
  • No Google Cloud project, billing account or SDK — an API key and one POST.
  • Free tools anyone can use in a browser with no account at all.
  • A published benchmark with our own failures in it; Google publishes no comparable accuracy data.

What this page does not claim

We have never run a document through Google Document AI, so there is no accuracy comparison here and no chart showing us winning. Our own figures are measured and reproducible — the method is on the benchmark, including the cases where our default engine gets things wrong. Google Document AI's figures are theirs, quoted from their documentation with the date we read it.

Most comparison pages of this kind include an accuracy table. Ours cannot, honestly, so it does not.
